| Overview: |
Guest Speaker:
- Karen Baker, Executive Director, California Volunteers
In addition to a focus on increasing volunteerism in our state, one of the key initiatives of the new Governor's California Volunteers department, is to help communities across the state prepare and respond to emergencies and disasters. California Volunteers is working with the Regional Associations of Grantmakers to collaborate in improving disaster donation coordination. This session affords us the opportunity to link San Diego's philanthropic preparedness for future disasters to statewide efforts. |
