Tony Freeman, SDHDF Executive Director and SDG member will be attending two events in May for LGBT funders, and will lead this informal debriefing session and discussion with fellow SDG members.

Also joining the discussion is Laura Galinson, Galinson Family Foundation and SDG Board of Directors. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet casually with your fellow SDG funders interested in supporting LGBT issues and populations.

Tony will start the gathering by giving a brief report on the National Network of LGBT Community Foundations Annual Executive Director’s Meeting, including the remarks made by Guest Speaker Chris Grumm, President and CEO of the Women's Funding Network, on the steps WFN took to build the capacity of their member Funds and their network.

Tony will also share lessons from the Funders for Lesbian and Gay Issues 2nd Annual Meeting where he attended sessions such as: Roundtable on Race and LGBTQ Issues, the release of the LGBTQ Funders Racial Equity Report Card and Reports from the Field: LGBTQ funding strategies and opportunities for impact.
