San Diego has always been a military town, and right now many local service members have significant needs. Military personnel and their families are faced with financial, professional, and personal challenges—from access to medical care to the emotional and practical difficulties experienced by families of the deployed.

So how can we, as grantmakers, help this important community? We will explore what we--individually and collectively--can do to support active military, veterans, and their families.
