Overview:

Register now for GIA's Regional Issues Forum featuring thought leader Robert E. Friedman, Founder, Chair and General Counsel, CFED. In his keynote address, Aging and the Economy from Top to Bottom, Friedman asserts solutions to the economy and the aging population must come from the top down...and the bottom up.

Sessions:

  • Solutions That Work Two California programs take innovative approaches to solving specific problems
  • Lunch and Learn Continue the dialogue over lunch with representatives from sponsoring organizations
  • Programmatic Strategy for Downturn and Elders Learn the impact of state budget cuts on the elder population and discern the appropriate response from philanthropy

Audience interaction is encouraged so participants should be prepared to share a minute or two about your insights and innovations.

Now, more than ever, forward-thinking philanthropists need to share successful solutions, adapt innovative approaches, and form practical partnerships. Attend the forum and take away strategies to enhance your funding.

  • Identify policies with national, state, and local impact
  • Capture what funders are doing in the current economic environment
  • Discover how national issues affect California
  • Discuss replicable programs
