| Overview: |
Annie Leonard loves to talk trash. Using the same rapid-fire, fact-filled and humorous approach that made her film The Story of Stuff an Internet sensation, she will connect the dots and explain the real social and environmental costs of how we make, use, and throw away stuff.
With an eye on solutions, Annie will address how those engaged in environmental work and those supporting it can shift the conversation away from over-consumption. Additionally, she will explore how grantmakers and environmental advocates can play a defining role in transforming our environments, communities and economies to become truly sustainable and ultimately, change the story of our stuff.
